Trade Analyst

Job Title: Trade Analyst

Location: Downtown LA

The Analyst will work closely with Traders and Portfolio Managers on the Global Developed Credit desk to support trading, allocation and compliance processes. They will also assist with various related portfolio modeling, monitoring, reporting functions and ad-hoc requests from the various US Credit desks (Investment Grade, High Yield and Bank Loans).
  • Manage and maintain daily trading programs and files
  • Perform and document pre-trade compliance checks on all new and secondary trades
  • Assist Portfolio Managers in monitoring compliance limits in various accounts
  • Assist with portfolio modeling, monitoring and reporting
  • Assist Traders in the development of internal Order Management Systems
  • Assist Traders and back office with booking and settlements
  • Liaison between GDC and other groups (Compliance, Treasury, Data Management, Settlements, Counterparty Risk, etc.)
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related field
  • 0-3 years of experience in banking, investment management or trading
  • Strong analytical and computer skills, with a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg
  • Comfortable interacting with and taking direction from senior investment professionals in a trading desk environment
  • Outstanding initiative and a strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented and must possess strong integrity and professionalism
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task
