Senior Operations Associate
Job Title: Senior Operations Associate
Location: Los Angeles (Century City)
Assist and Collaborate with Director of Operations to:
- Support investment operations
- Assist in vendor oversight management of SS&C by tracking services provided against SLAs
- Follow and look to improve daily control procedures, provide operational services to clients, data integrity, trade operations, investment accounting/reconciliations, proxy voting, corporate action voting, monthly performance review, resolution of daily issues
- Assist with establishing vendor oversight process and controls with special emphasis on OMS and post trade processes
- Timely and accurate ad hoc, high profile, monthly, and quarterly client reporting
- Maintain database/excel spreadsheet of operational client obligations
- Monitor technology vendors and connectivity with data sources (CRM, Investment Tools, ISS, GWP, GWPA, Pages, etc.)
- Aware of firm wide technology needs and requirements and manage evolution of platform to meet and anticipate needs in an economical fashion
- Ensure internal processes and procedures to promote compliance based on regulatory requirements of institutional, dual contract, wealth advisory, and wrap business segments.
- Support annual SOC I engagement and other control reviews require by clients and firm
- Onboard client accounts – review and execute check list items; coordinate with sales and middle office; establish and maintain integrated procedures with IAAs, Institutional Marketing, Compliance, global funds management with client onboarding
- Help develop and oversee operations dashboard to monitor SS&C service delivery
- 8+ as an asset management industry expert in the management of investment operations of global investment strategies
- Excellent understanding of the investment book of record and how it interacts with various investment vehicle books of record
- Experience in onboarding
- Aptitude to manage 3rd party vendor providing critical daily processing / systems
- Excellent business judgment with the ability to partner with business leaders and cross functions and departments
- Work well with all levels of employees effectively
- Ability to work in an intense environment under tight deadlines and still contribute thoughtfully and high quality work product
- Experience with trade operations, client statements, and investment accounting
- Heightened attention to detail
- Flexible, ability to adjust schedule to be available for meetings in all global time zones
- Ability to learn and excel at day-to- day responsibilities and contribute to driving process improvement, standardization, and automation
- Excellent communications skills
- Ability to anticipate risks and identify solutions
- Ability to see multiple steps ahead when faced with complex issues or new situations
