Communications Analyst

Summary:

The Communications Analyst holds a niche position within the Communications team. A massive number of charts are created and updated for weekly and monthly meetings, webcasts and speech presentations across several teams at Firm. The analyst will focus on developing and maintaining an internal database and detailed labeling system to warehouse these charts and supportive data. He/she must be highly organized, detailing each chart with coding, metadata codes and keywords which will allow others to find and access topical charts quickly and easily. This position requires market and economic knowledge and the ability to build marketing and presentation materials

Primary Function & Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support teams in updating existing global macroeconomic charts, as well as offering market research to develop new charts
  • Attend regular meetings with the Fixed Income Asset Allocation, Multi-Asset Growth and Global Asset Allocation teams in order to observe how production of these charts is value-added and develop ideas for new content based on discussions.
  • Meet with several investment teams regularly to ensure quality control, generate new ideas, provide useful content and increase market knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain an internal database of charts, spreadsheets, and slides to be used by the teams at a moment’s notice using a content management system that requires attention to detail when entering metadata coding for search capabilities.
  • Work with the Communications team to prepare presentations for internal portfolio management, external clients and consultants in a timely manner. This will include working with our compliance review process as well.
  • Coordinate with portfolio managers and analysts within Firm, as well as source data from outside parties on a regular basis
  • Maintain flexibility for last-minute requests, which may require working outside normal working hours, either from home or the office, in order to complete tasks when needed.
Qualifications:
  • BA/BS required, preferably in the fields of economics and/or finance.

  • Minimum of 3 years of prior work experience.

  • Solid understanding of key economic principles and global financial markets.

  • Strong In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, is required.

  • Requires Bloomberg knowledge and ability to build spreadsheets using Bloomberg functionality.

  • Business intelligence, database visualization and Tableau experience a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Detail-orientation, with the ability to produce a highly accurate product.

  • Demonstrated time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Good attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
